I am a Brissy based photographer that's determined to carve out my path to a career in sports photography. Having been immersed in sports from a young age, I have always had a passion for the sporting industry and it has always been a major part of my life.
I have been practicing karate since I was a kid, commencing in 2007, and continue to train and compete to this day with the club I first joined. Naturally, karate is now the sport that I have specialised my sports photography work in and now shoot national events tatami-side for Kaizen Culture. Being born in India, cricket is in my blood and I played it for a few years during my primary school years before deciding to solely focus on competing in karate.
I am an avid follower of and love to photograph a variety of sports; karate, Formula 1, cricket, rugby and AFL (just to name a few). The bonding moments watching any kind of sport can create is something I strongly resonate with, often watching and marvelling at the achievements of athletes with friends and family. As a part of my photography journey, I aim to bring the action closer to those living vicariously through the images on social media. When shooting karate competitions and seminars, and local AFL games, I have the privilege of getting to deliver photos to the athletes directly. Witnessing the pride and joy they express seeing themselves in action, doing what they love, is why I love photography.
Sport is all about the action, the emotion, the moment. Showcasing the dedication of athletes and conveying their achievements to themselves and to the world is what I strive to achieve in every photograph and moment I capture.
I bring the same passion to other photography ventures including corporate, commercial, travel, portraits, products and pets. I aim to find and capture the emotion and human connection in every moment. See more of the non-sporting side of my work here.
